There was no formal degree. No traditional training in journalism. Yet, somehow, he stumbled into it—almost by accident. It all began with feature stories for a news portal called Bibidho News. Life was smooth, filled with routine assignments and a boom mic in hand. But then something shifted. He realised he was being pulled toward politics—more specifically, the ever-dynamic pulse of Bengal politics. The marches, the protests, the chaos—it fascinated him. And then one day, he found himself covering elections in Singur, the very epicentre of Indian political history for years. That one assignment opened the floodgates. From documenting protests at the Mohun Bagan ground on behalf of Bangabhumi, to reporting from East Bengal’s historic 21st July rally—he saw it all. There were times he barely escaped the charge of mounted police. Two comrades were always by his side—sometimes as camerapersons, sometimes as fellow scribes. He took a brief detour through business journalism, for Business Economics magazine. Along the way, he’s also been writing for some of Bengal’s well-known daily’s—Robbar Digital (Sangbad Pratidin), Dakbangla (Aajkaal), Ei Samay, Inscript among others. Then came cricket—multiple series covered for CrickTracker, with over a hundred articles to his name.
